Dr. Al Kharousi commends Kuwait’s role in facilitating return of Omanis from Iran

Oman’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Saleh Al Kharousi, praised Kuwaiti authorities — particularly the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Interior — for their swift and effective efforts in facilitating the smooth return of Omani citizens arriving from Iran via Kuwaiti ports.

He emphasized that the coordination reflects the strong fraternal ties between the two countries and the spirit of Gulf cooperation. The Omani Embassy confirmed that over 100 individuals have departed in recent days, with efforts ongoing to assist more arrivals, reports Al-Rai daily.

Meanwhile, the Embassy said it is following up on the arrangements for the repatriation of its citizens coming from Iran in coordination with the Kuwaiti authorities. The embassy said more than 100 people have left for Oman in recent days — most of them Omani nationals, and several citizens of other friendly and neighboring countries.

Efforts are ongoing to ensure the departure of more groups of people expected to arrive soon, as part of the embassy’s commitment to safeguarding the well-being of its citizens during these tense regional circumstances.
