The DP World ILT20 Development Tournament – Kuwait – Season 2 aims to establish a pathway for emerging cricketers to perform, gain recognition, and compete on one of the biggest stages in franchise cricket.
Kuwait Cricket is set to host the DP World ILT20 Development Tournament – Kuwait Season 2 from 17 to 26 September 2026, providing talented cricketers with a prestigious platform to showcase their skills and progress towards higher levels of competitive cricket.
The tournament will feature four teams, with top-performing players earning the opportunity to enter the DP World ILT20 Player Auction.
The best performers from the DP World ILT20 Development Tournament – Kuwait, will be shortlisted for the DP World ILT20 Auction, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 1 October 2026 in Dubai.
A minimum of six Kuwait players will be selected for the DP World ILT20 Season 5 – at least one player in each of the six DP World ILT20 franchises.
Players selected to participate in the DP World ILT20 Development Tournament – Kuwait, will receive several benefits, including transportation, refreshments, daily allowances, attractive gifts, cash awards for Player of the Match performances, individual awards, and the opportunity to compete for significant prize money.
The tournament’s player pool will primarily consist of cricketers registered for the KCC Falcon Super League. However, players who missed the Falcon Super League registration but believe they have the talent and determination to compete at this level can apply for potential participation in the 10-day event.
Interested players must submit their details, including full name, club name, date of birth, ID number, and confirmation of availability from 17 September to 26 September 2026, by emailing register@kuwaitcricket.com.
The deadline for registrations is 21st August 2026 at 5:00 PM. Submission of registration details does not guarantee selection, as all eligible players will be evaluated before final inclusion in the tournament player pool.
