December 31 marks final day for expats to complete fingerprinting
Failing to complete biometric fingerprinting will result in the suspension of transactions with the Ministry of Interior and all government entities, including access to bank accounts, bank cards, and electronic payment services.
• Failure to complete biometric fingerprinting will result in a block on records, suspending civil cards and all government and banking transactions.
The deadline for expatriates to complete biometric fingerprinting is next Tuesday, December 31. Failure to comply will result in the suspension of civil cards, as well as all government and banking transactions.
Security sources confirmed to Al-Rai newspaper that defaulters will have a ‘block’ placed on their records, preventing them from completing any transactions. The deadline for biometric fingerprinting has been announced since last May and has been repeatedly emphasized over the past months and weeks.
The sources stated that failing to complete biometric fingerprinting will result in the suspension of transactions with the Ministry of Interior and all government entities, including access to bank accounts, bank cards, and electronic payment services.
They further indicated that any resident who has not yet completed the fingerprinting process can schedule an appointment through the ‘Sahel’ application or the ‘Whenne’ platform, selecting a convenient location to complete the procedure. Doing so will help avoid transaction suspensions or the lifting of the “block” after the deadline.
