Kuwait braces for cold front as New Year approaches

Light to moderate northwest winds are expected on Sunday, with temperatures dropping and cloudy weather continuing until Tuesday, along with a chance of light sprinkles.

Starting January 1, Kuwait will experience a cold air mass, causing temperatures to drop even further. Regarding the state of the sea, a significant rise in wave height is expected due to the cold air mass.

Meteorologist Issa Ramadan forecasted a significant drop in temperatures at the start of the New Year, according to Al Qabas newspaper.

Ramadan stated that northwest winds are expected to be light to moderate on Sunday, with temperatures dropping and partly to mostly cloudy weather continuing until next Tuesday, along with a chance of light sprinkles between periods due to clouds in Kuwait’s sky.

He emphasized that starting Wednesday, January 1, the country will experience a cold air mass, causing temperatures to drop even further.

Regarding the state of the sea, he noted a significant rise in wave height due to the cold air mass.
