Deal signed for ten new electrical stations in South Sabah Al-Ahmad
The Public Authority for Housing Welfare signed a contract with a local company valued at 44 million dinars, specifying that the project will be completed within 730 days.

The Public Authority for Housing Welfare is preparing to issue several other tenders for the supply, extension, and maintenance of 400 kV cables for the main switching stations with a voltage of 400/132/11 kV.
The Public Authority for Housing Welfare has signed a contract for the supply, installation, implementation, and maintenance of ten main power conversion stations, operating at 132/11 kV, to supply electricity to several residential areas within the South Sabah Al-Ahmad residential city project, according to Al Rai newspaper.
Engineer Rashid Al-Enezi, the Director General of the authority, stated that the contract was signed with a local company for 44 million dinars, noting that the contract’s implementation period is limited to 730 days. He added that the stations to be built are for the suburbs of N5, N6, N8, and N10 in the city, mentioning that this is the first contract for the main conversion stations with a voltage of 132/11 kV.
Al-Enezi revealed that the authority is in the process of signing another contract for the construction of ten major conversion stations in three suburbs: N7, N6, and N5. Additionally, preparations are underway to launch two tenders for the construction of 20 major conversion stations with a voltage of 132/11 kV in the suburbs of N1, N2, N3, N4, N5, N6, and N11.
He continued, stating that the corporation is preparing to issue several other tenders for the supply, extension, and maintenance of 400 kV cables for the main switching stations with a voltage of 400/132/11 kV.
Al-Enezi noted that the authority has already signed four contracts for the supply, installation, implementation, and maintenance of four main conversion stations at a voltage of 400/132/11 kV to supply electricity to the residential suburbs in the city. He confirmed that work on these stations has already commenced and is expected to be completed by early August 2026. Upon completion, they will be handed over to the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy for operation and to provide electricity to the city in parallel with citizens completing the construction of their properties.
