DDI’s Mobile Clinic, the Science Bus, and the STEAM Bus from TSC visit Asma Bint Umais Middle School for Girls
As part of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) and its affiliated centers’ efforts to promote scientific, health, and knowledge awareness among students in Kuwait, a field visit was organized to Asma Bint Umais Middle School for Girls in the Ali Sabah Al-Salem area.
The visit featured the participation of Dasman Diabetes Institute’s Mobile Clinic, along with the Science Bus operated by KFAS and the STEAM Bus from The Scientific Center, creating an interactive and educational atmosphere aimed at enhancing health awareness among students and teachers.
During the visit, DDI’s team conducted basic medical screenings and distributed educational brochures and leaflets highlighting important topics on diabetes prevention and the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle. Students were also encouraged to engage with science and develop their curiosity through various interactive learning activities and hands-on experiences offered throughout the event.
