Criminal Court moves to new Palace of Justice, sessions begin from Sunday

The President of the Court of First Instance, Counselor Abdul Latif Al-Thunayan, has announced that all criminal and delegated misdemeanor circuits, along with lawyers’ disciplinary circuits, will be relocated to the new Palace of Justice building. The decision will take effect starting next Sunday.
Counselor Al-Thunayan’s decision to relocate the criminal circuits handling felony and delegated misdemeanor cases aligns with the Minister of Justice’s directive to transfer all Court of First Instance circuits to the new Palace of Justice building. The remaining circuits, including administrative, civil, commercial, government, and urgent cases, are expected to be moved in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, the Court of Appeal circuits are set to begin holding sessions in early April, following the completion of final preparations for their relocation to the designated floors in the new Palace of Justice building.
