Crackdown underway on violating charity offices in residential areas

The Kuwait Municipality has responded to the Ministry of Social Affairs’ directive to enforce a 2009 ministerial resolution prohibiting public benefit associations and charity foundations from operating in private and model residential areas.

Acting Undersecretary Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, according to Al-Rai daily, has urged the Municipality to address violations and ensure compliance.

The Municipal teams across all governorates will conduct a two-week survey and issue warnings, followed by detailed reports on infractions.

The Municipality emphasized its executive role, clarifying that designated charitable zones remain unaffected. The initiative aims to preserve residential zoning integrity and uphold urban planning regulations.
