Court sentences two, to 7 years for impersonation and forgery
The Court of Cassation sentenced two Saudi defendants to seven years of hard labor and ordered them to repay 498,000 dinars they had seized from the Ministry of Justice, Housing Welfare, and the Credit Bank.
The defendants, in collaboration with a Saudi fugitive convicted of the same sentence, were found guilty of impersonating a Kuwaiti citizen who had been missing since 1995 and forging his nationality and civil ID. Additionally, the Court of Cassation obligated the defendants to return double the amount they had unlawfully obtained. Meanwhile, the court acquitted another defendant.
