Court sentences former Minister Mubarak Al-Aro and three others to 7 years in prison

The Court of Cassation has upheld the 7-year prison sentence imposed on former Minister Mubarak Al-Aro, a former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs, a former Chairman of the Cooperative Societies Union and a citizen.

The defendants were convicted of profiting from a tender awarded to a specific company without following legal procedures.

The Court of Cassation justified the sentence, citing the defendants’ involvement in profiteering and their clear violation of established laws.
