Corpse found inside abandoned building in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh
Security authorities have launched an investigation into the death of unidentified person whose partially decomposed body was found inside an abandoned building in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh late Saturday.
According to security sources, a Syrian resident contacted the Ministry of Interior’s operations room after noticing a strong odor emanating from the abandoned building.
When CID men from the Farwaniya Governorate responded to the report and found the corpse.
Personnel from the General Department of Criminal Evidence, along with a forensic physician and representatives from the Public Prosecution, later arrived at the scene to examine the site and collect evidence.
Following the initial inspection, the Deputy Public Prosecutor ordered the body to be transferred to the Forensic Medicine Department for identification and to determine the cause and estimated time of death.
Detectives have been assigned to investigate the circumstances surrounding the case, while authorities continue efforts to establish the identity of the deceased.
