Communications Ministry begins nationwide telecom exchange maintenance
April–May schedule for night-time telephone exchange upgrades; periodic maintenance to boost telecom efficiency, possible night disruptions announced
The Ministry of Communications announced the continuation of its scheduled periodic maintenance program for a number of telephone exchanges across the country, as part of its broader strategy to upgrade communications infrastructure and improve operational efficiency.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the ministry said that maintenance works will be carried out according to a phased timetable covering several exchanges in different areas between Monday, April 20 and Wednesday, May 13.
The maintenance schedule includes the following exchanges:
- Al-Mangaf Exchange: Monday, April 20
- Shuwaikh Branch: Tuesday, April 21
- Al-Jahra Exchange: Wednesday, April 22
- City Divider Exchange: April 22 and May 6
- Al-Maraqab Office Exchange: Thursday, April 23
- Al-Ardiya Branch: Sunday, April 26
- Al-Nuzha Section: Monday, April 27
- Shuwaikh Exchange: April 29 and May
The ministry clarified that all maintenance operations will be conducted during off-peak hours, from midnight until 6:00 a.m., in order to minimize disruption to users.
However, it noted that some services may experience partial interruptions during these periods.
It stressed that the works are part of an ongoing effort to modernize the telecommunications network, enhance service reliability, and ensure the sustainability of critical communication infrastructure across Kuwait.
