CID men arrest three bootleggers, seize 1,560 bottles of imported alcohol

Kuwait security authorities have arrested three suspected bootleggers and seized a total of 1,560 bottles of imported alcohol in two separate cases. The arrests were carried out by the Criminal Security Sector of the Ministry of Interior as part of ongoing efforts to crack down on illegal trade of alcoholic beverages.
In the first case, officers from the Local Anti-Narcotics Department arrested two suspects in Hawally. Police said they were found in possession of 12 bottles of booze and 320 dinars in cash believed to be proceeds from sales.
In a separate case, authorities arrested another suspect in Salmiya and seized 1,548 bottles of imported alcohol allegedly intended for sale. The three suspects, along with the seized items, were referred to the relevant authorities for legal action and further investigation.
