Chinese Ambassador Visits The Times Kuwait, Discusses Bilateral Relations and Media Cooperation

The Times Kuwait had the honor of welcoming H.E. Mr. Yang Xin, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Kuwait, during a courtesy visit to its offices.
The ambassador was received by Editor-in-Chief Tareq AlShumaimry and Executive Managing Editor Reaven D’Souza. The meeting provided an opportunity for a constructive exchange of views on matters of mutual interest, including the evolving role of media in strengthening international understanding, Kuwait-China bilateral relations, and expanding economic and trade cooperation between the two friendly nations.
During the discussions, Ambassador Yang highlighted the longstanding friendship between China and Kuwait, which has continued to grow across multiple sectors, including trade, investment, infrastructure development, energy, technology, and cultural exchanges.

He underscored the importance of media in fostering greater awareness and understanding among peoples and nations. The meeting also explored opportunities for enhanced media engagement and cooperation, particularly in highlighting the significant developments taking place in China and the growing strategic partnership between Kuwait and China. Both sides acknowledged the vital role of responsible journalism in promoting dialogue, cultural exchange, and informed public discourse.
