Central Bank sets April 18 deadline for swapping old banknotes
The Central Bank of Kuwait said the grace period to exchange fifth issue banknotes for the sixth issue ends on April 18, after which holders will no longer be eligible to make the exchange.

The Central Bank of Kuwait announced on Sunday that the grace period for exchanging fifth issue banknotes for the sixth issue will end on April 18—just six days away, reported Arabic daily Al Rai.
After this date, holders will no longer be eligible to exchange the notes. The Central Bank clarified that replacements must be done in person at its banking hall, with a valid ID and completion of the designated form.
It pointed out that the official working hours of the banking hall at the bank’s main headquarters are from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and noted that no exchange requests will be accepted after the deadline, which is Friday, April 18.
