CAIT receives applications for 6th GCC Digital Government Award

The Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) has officially opened applications for the sixth edition of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Digital Government Award, aimed at recognizing outstanding achievements in digital transformation across member states.

Speaking to KUNA, Acting Director of CAIT Najat Ibrahim said applications will be accepted via awards.cait.gov.kw from early July until August 31. She described the award as a vital platform for fostering innovation and competitiveness among government institutions throughout the GCC.

The award features the following nine categories:

  • Best Government Digital Service
  • Best Use of Artificial Intelligence
  • Best Open Data Initiative
  • Best Digital Inclusion Initiative
  • Best Digital Community Participation
  • Best Comprehensive Government Application
  • Best Meaningful Digital Game
  • Best Government Capacity Building Initiative
  • Digitally Distinguished Government Institution

Ibrahim emphasized the award’s role in advancing Gulf-wide digital collaboration and preparing government agencies for future challenges while supporting sustainable digital development goals.

She urged participating entities to apply through their country’s designated authority and liaison officer to ensure proper coordination and submission.
