Biometrics mandatory else face suspension of banking & govt transactions

The Ministry of Interior called on citizens to quickly complete the biometric fingerprinting before the deadline on September 30, as the civil id card and all government and banking transactions will be suspended for those who do not complete the biometrics.

The ministry added that fingerprinting offices in shopping malls will be closed starting from Tuesday, October 1, and visitors will be received at the centers designated for biometric fingerprinting in the Personality Investigation Departments of the General Department of Criminal Evidence, which operate throughout the week from 8:00 am to 10 pm.

It is necessary to book an appointment in advance through the “Sahel” application in the appointments box, before heading to the designated centers, as reported by Al Qabas.
