Bayt Abdullah – A sanctuary of love and dignity for Kuwait’s ailing children

In a serene corner of Kuwait, Bayt Abdullah Children’s Hospice (BACCH) stands as a haven for children living with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses.
Founded by the Kuwait Association for the Care of Children in Hospital (KACCH), the hospice offers far more than medical treatment — it provides comfort, dignity, and a sense of home.
The hospice was born from the story of Abdullah, a young boy whose treatment abroad could not save him. His wish to spend his remaining days surrounded by love, not hospital walls, became the inspiration for a place where children could live fully, even while facing serious illness. Abdullah’s courage and joyful spirit continue to inspire the mission that bears his name.
Since its opening in 2012, Bayt Abdullah has combined medical care with compassion, creativity, and play. Children receive personalized treatment alongside therapeutic, educational, and recreational support — including home care services — all free of charge.
Today, Bayt Abdullah stands as a pioneering model in the region, showing how love, care, and human connection can bring light and meaning to even the most difficult moments of life.
