The Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced that it has uncovered and dismantled a network of 41 persons allegedly linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the ideology of “Wilayat al-Faqih.”
The arrests came following extensive investigations into suspected espionage activities involving foreign entities, as well as alleged expressions of support for hostile actions against the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The investigation was launched based on detailed security reports and prior inquiries conducted by the Public Prosecution into cases involving espionage and external interference in national affairs, according to news reports.
The ministry added that specialized security units are continuing their operations to track down any remaining suspects or collaborators linked to the group, as well as individuals who may have provided logistical or ideological support.
