Kuwait will enter the Al-Jabha season on September 6, marking the beginning of the autumn period according to traditional astronomical calendars. The 13-day season will continue until September 18 and is associated with the second phase of the Suhail star seasons and the first of the autumn star periods.
The Al-Ujairi Scientific Center said the season is marked by cooler nights, gradually moderating temperatures and longer nighttime hours. It added that the Al-Safari season begins during the last third of September, coinciding with the start of autumn. The season lasts 26 days and represents a transitional period between summer and winter.
During Al-Safari, temperatures fluctuate, while active winds may lead to sandstorms and dust. The sky may also take on a yellowish hue, which is associated with the season’s name. The period also sees increased movement of migratory birds.
The arrival of Al-Safari signals the approaching winter, as noticeable changes in weather conditions begin to emerge, particularly during the night and early morning. Humidity remains present, while fog may also form during the early morning hours.
