As part of its series of seminars on entrepreneurship, the American Middle East University (AUM) recently hosted a session titled “You Can Take the Initiative… and Succeed.”
The seminar, held in collaboration with “Weay” Bank, featured two successful Kuwaiti entrepreneurs, Fahd Al-Muthen, CEO of the H&S Store brand, and Abdullah Al-Ateeqi, AUM graduate and CEO of the Motery brand, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The entrepreneurs shared insights on balancing personal life and entrepreneurship, addressing challenges faced by emerging projects. They emphasized the importance of utilizing technology intelligently at all project stages and building a capable team for development.
Dr. Amal Al-Yahya, Head of the Ministry’s Healthy Cities Office, highlighted the ministry’s commitment to advancing the healthy cities movement. The workshop, titled “Reviewing the National Strategy for Healthy Cities,” aimed to align cities with the strategy for collective goal achievement.
During the session, Al-Muthen and Al-Ateeqi stressed the significance of discipline, commitment to values, and persistence in achieving success. They commended AUM for fostering an environment that encourages innovation and advised students to leverage it.
Duaij Al-Ali from Weay Bank, who moderated the discussion, praised AUM for hosting events that enable students to benefit from diverse experiences, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship.
The seminar witnessed broad participation from AUM students across various disciplines, providing valuable insights into entrepreneurship, innovation, idea generation, and business development. AUM’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship is evident through its Business Innovation Center, offering students practical knowledge and expertise in various business-related fields.
Furthermore, AUM’s College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International, a prestigious global accreditation body, reflecting the university’s commitment to providing high-quality business education.
