ASSP Kuwait Chapter to Host 13th International HSSE Conference and Exhibition
The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) Kuwait Chapter will host its 13th International Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Loss Prevention Professional Development Conference & Exhibition (PDC 2026) on October 4 and 5 at The Regency Hotel, Kuwait. The two-day event will be held under the patronage of H.E. the Minister of Oil, State of Kuwait, and is expected to bring together safety professionals, industry leaders, experts, researchers and representatives from organizations in Kuwait and abroad.
Held under the theme “Intelligent HSSE: Leveraging AI to Strengthen Process Safety, Drive Sustainability and Enhance Operational Excellence,” PDC 2026 will focus on the growing role of technology in improving workplace safety, protecting people and the environment, and strengthening operational performance. The programme will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, technical presentations, special sessions, e-posters, an industry exhibition and networking opportunities.
The conference will address a broad range of topics across health, safety, security and environment, including occupational safety and health, process safety, artificial intelligence and digital technology, environmental protection and sustainability, emergency response, fire safety, oil and gas operations, drilling and workover safety, contractor safety, training and competency, employee well-being and leadership. Sessions will also examine the use of artificial intelligence, drones, digital monitoring and other emerging technologies to identify hazards and support incident prevention. Professionals from major oil and energy organizations in Kuwait, together with specialists from government, healthcare, academia and the private sector, are expected to contribute to the programme.
A major feature of the event will be the ASSP GCC HSE Excellence Awards 2026, which recognize organizations for their commitment and achievements in health, safety, security and environmental performance. An exhibition running alongside the conference will provide companies with a platform to showcase safety technologies, products and services and to engage with professionals from different industries.
The Chapter has also arranged professional training programmes before and after the main conference. The programmes cover emergency and crisis management, first aid, HSE, drilling competency, IADC-related programmes, HAZOP and QRA, and scaffold inspection, extending PDC 2026 beyond the two-day conference into a wider professional development programme.
The ASSP Kuwait Chapter leadership for 2026–27 includes Eng. Fadhel Al Ali, Chairman; Mohamed Yusuff A., President; Syed Kashif Vali, Vice President; Prabeesh MP, Secretary; Munir Khan N Pathan, Treasurer; Eng. Noor Al Sadi, Honorary Vice President; and Eng. Yaser Al Hamad, Honorary Secretary. Eng. Ahmed Eissa Al Shatti serves as Director of PDC & GCC HSE Excellence Awards 2026, with Bader Mubarak Al Hadhrami as Deputy Director of PDC 2026. Mazharuddin Shaikh is Deputy Director of the GCC HSE Excellence Awards 2026, while Msutak Mirza serves as Organizing Committee Head. The PDC 2026 Conveners are Golamari Sampath Reddy, Jignesh Shah and Sunil N S.
Through PDC 2026, the ASSP Kuwait Chapter aims to create a platform where experienced professionals and the next generation can exchange practical knowledge, discuss emerging technologies, strengthen professional networks and contribute to a stronger safety culture.
