Asaad Al-Hamad Center first recognized govt center in Mideast
The Ministry of Health announced that the European Allergy Global Network has selected the Asaad Al-Hamad Dermatology Center in Al-Sabah Specialized Medical District as a distinguished reference center in the field of atopic eczema worldwide.
Dr. Atlal Al-Lafi, consultant dermatologist and head of the dermatology department at the center, said in a press statement today, Thursday, that the selection of the center by an organization specialized in the field of allergic and immunological diseases globally is a new step that adds to the successes of the health system in the country, reports Al-Jarida daily.
Dr Al-Lafi added that this selection is by the largest leading academy in the field of allergy and immunology in the world places us before a new and greater challenge to achieve greater excellence and success.
She explained that with this selection, the Asaad Al-Hamad Center has become the first recognized government center in the Middle East and among 37 global centers that aim to cooperate, follow up on research, participate in global studies, hold educational workshops, and exchange experiences in an effort to improve the quality of health care and provide the best means of treatment for patients.
She stressed that this success is credited to the health system as a whole and is an indication of the excellence of the performance and efficiency of the national medical staff, appreciating the support of the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, and the workers at the center, and their clinical and research excellence and their perseverance in reaching the best medical practices.
