Arab doctor faces prison time for identity fraud

The Criminal Court in Kuwait has sentenced an Arab doctor to five years in prison for impersonating a Kuwaiti citizen, stealing his passport, and entering the country after altering her facial features to resemble those of the citizen.

The Public Prosecution referred the case to court after the doctor was apprehended upon her arrival in Kuwait. A passport officer grew suspicious of her tone of voice during their interaction and detained her at Kuwait International Airport.

Investigations by the detective revealed that the doctor specialized in gynecology and had established a clinic for treating drug addicts. She managed to amass significant sums of money from the families of her patients. The doctor also used the passports of some of her patients who resembled her in appearance, with the passport of the citizen she impersonated being the most frequently used.
