APJ Abdul Kalam Pearl of the School Awards 2024 presented to students
The “APJ Abdul Kalam Pearl of the School Awards 2024” under the banner of ‘Thanima Kuwait’ waspresented to students from 26 Indian schools in Kuwait, recognizing their excellence in academics and extracurricular activities. Neha Winner was awarded the Bini Antony Memorial Award for achieving the highest marks in the 7th grade at United Indian School.
The event was inaugurated by the chief guest, Joel Jacob, Executive Admin Manager of the United Group of Schools, and the keynote address was delivered by Dr. Dheeraj Bharadwaj, CEO of City Group Co KSCP.
History was created by Fahad S. Al Muqayyum, a Kuwaiti student from Al Amal Indian School, as the first local student chosen as a Pearl in the award’s history. Distinguished guests presented certificates and mementos to the winners, who were selected from over 70,000 students across various Indian schools.

Al-Maktoum (Al Amal Indian School).
The award ceremony was organized by members of Children’s Thanima, including Seraphine Freddy, Amaya Ann Jogi, Angeline Rose Savio, Diya Sangeeth, and Malavika Vijesh, who volunteered their time and efforts to ensure the event’s success.
Furthermore, Mathew Varghese (CEO – Bahrain Exchange), Mustafa Hamza (Chairman & CEO Metro Medical Group), K.S. Varghese (MD- GAT), Muhammad Ali (Operation Manager – Mango Hypermarket), Rana Varghese (Thanima Treasurer), Jinu K. Abraham (Thanima Office Secretary), Suresh Karthik (Karate Athlete), Shivani Chauhan (Indian International Volleyball Player), Babuji Bathery (Program Convener), DilipDK (Onathanima Convener), and Jojimon (Thanima General Convener) were also present during the event.
