ALSAYER Group Launches Autostore Warehouse Automation System

Mohamed Naser Al-Sayer & Sons Est. Co. held the launch ceremony of Autostore Warehouse Automation at Sabhan’s Parts Distribution Warehouse, one of the largest Toyota and Lexus parts warehouses in the region. ALSAYER is the first Toyota distributor globally to implement this technology, which is highly advanced standard in automotive parts logistics.

The ceremony was attended by: Mubarak Naser Al Sayer CEO, Bengt Schultz COO from ALSAYER Group, Takuro Yoshida – Department General Manager of Spare Parts, Toyota Motor Corporation representative, Desmond Lew – Senior Business Director Parts & Group Logistics, delegates from principals, Senior Management Members, Group Parts Management Team and representatives of the press and media.

According to Mubarak Al-Sayer: “Over the past ten years, we have invested heavily in developing IT infrastructure to improve business efficiency and digital transformation. We will continue to develop and innovate in various fields. Today, I am pleased to announce that we are thankfully the first Toyota distributor in the world to implement this project.

“I take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to this project, especially the spare parts and warehouse logistics team, the Administration department, the IT team and the Constructions and maintenance department. I would also like to appreciate Dematic’s contribution and effective role in the success of this project” added Mubarak Al Sayer.

Desmond Lew commented: “This parts distribution center was built to Toyota Motor Corporation’s global standards, and before today our employees walked at a rate of 5 kilometers per day to go to pick up spare parts. But now things have evolved with our ultimate goal bringing spare parts to the worker and not the other way around.

One of the advantages of Autostore technology is the best use of space, achieving the highest level of efficiency with minimal or even minimal human intervention. Thus, increasing customer satisfaction by reducing the waiting time for customers to receive their parts”.

Takuru Yoshida said: “Toyota Motor Corporation is pleased to note that the Autostore project will accelerate deliveries to your service centers, which will increase customer satisfaction with the service. I thank the parts and accessories team at Mohamed Naser Al Sayer & Sons for their unwavering support. We look forward to collaborating to increase the sales of genuine parts and put more smiles on the faces of Toyota and Lexus customers in Kuwait.”

During the ceremony, the attendees witnessed a live broadcast of the distribution of spare parts using Autostore technology and the operations of the automated system. This was followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony and inviting attendees for an internal tour of the facility.

The paradigm shift was recognized, thanks to mobile tools compatible with modern SAP technology. Developed in collaboration with ALSAYER Group’s IT Department. This technology enhances repository utilization processes by updating data in real time and removing manual notes and papers.

ALSAYER Group remains fully committed to developing digital technology to achieve better and faster levels of customer service and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
