Al-Yousef receives ambassadors of Egypt, Turkey, Japan, Sri Lanka to discuss security cooperation
The diplomatic meetings reflect Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to reinforce international partnerships and enhance security cooperation with both brotherly and friendly nations

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef received today the ambassadors of Egypt, Turkey, Japan, and Sri Lanka in his office at the Ministry of Interior headquarters.
The meetings were held in the presence of Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Ali Al-Adwani.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the field of security, and included the exchange of views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Sheikh Al-Yousef began by welcoming Ambassador H.E Osama Shaltout, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, where they reviewed several issues of shared interest and explored ways to enhance cooperation, especially in security coordination.
Ambassador Shaltout expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and praised the strong historical ties between the two brotherly nations.
He also met with Ambassador H.E Tuba Nur Sonmez of the Republic of Turkey, during which both sides discussed avenues to expand bilateral relations and enhance coordination in security affairs.
Ambassador Sonmez conveyed her gratitude for the hospitality and affirmed her country’s commitment to deeper cooperation with Kuwait.
In a subsequent meeting, Sheikh Al-Yousef received Ambassador H.E. Mukai Kenichiro, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan, where they addressed aspects of security collaboration and regional stability.
The Japanese Ambassador commended Kuwait’s constructive role in supporting peace and security in the region and expressed his sincere thanks for the welcome extended to him.
Finally, Sheikh Al-Yousef met with H.E Dr. Lakshitha Ratnayake, Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, to discuss opportunities for joint cooperation and ways to further strengthen bilateral relations.
Ambassador Ratnayake praised Kuwait’s humanitarian contributions and its leadership role in promoting stability, extending his thanks for the warm reception.
