Action Group Holdings extends Gold Sponsorship for French Institute in Kuwait

The renewal of the Golden Sponsorship Program with the French Institute of Kuwait will strengthen bilateral ties and enhance cooperation in the cultural, educational, and social sectors.

His Excellency Olivier Gauvin, the French Ambassador to Kuwait, emphasized that the long-term partnership reflects a joint commitment between the French Institute of Kuwait and Action Group Holdings to strengthen French-Kuwaiti friendship and reaffirm the close ties between the peoples of the two countries through the promotion of cultural dialogue.

His Excellency Sheikh Mubarak Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Action Group Holdings, announced the renewal of the Golden Sponsorship Program for cultural events in collaboration with the French Institute of Kuwait to further strengthen bilateral relations.

Sheikh Mubarak emphasized, This sponsorship is designed to enhance cooperation between Kuwait and France in the cultural, educational, and social sectors.

His Excellency Olivier Gauvin, the French Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, expressed gratitude to His Excellency Sheikh Mubarak Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Action Group Holdings, for renewing and continuing his valuable support for the promotion of cultural programs at the French Institute of Kuwait.

He emphasized that this long-term partnership reflects a joint commitment between the French Institute of Kuwait and Action Group Holdings to strengthen French-Kuwaiti friendship and reaffirm the close ties between the peoples of the two countries through the promotion of cultural dialogue.

Sheikh Mubarak added, “The signing of this memorandum is part of the close, historical, and distinguished relations between the two friendly countries across various fields. It aims to enhance cooperation and cultural exchange, highlighting Kuwait’s interest in and openness to different cultures.”

Moreover, Mr. Benoit Cathala, the Director of the French Institute of Kuwait, said, “The French Institute of Kuwait encourages and promotes an interest in French culture and works by conveying it to Kuwaiti society, as culture is the language that acts as a bridge bringing peoples closer.”

It is worth noting that the French Institute of Kuwait was established in 2012 and is committed to promoting cultural initiatives and ideas for mutual benefit through diverse cultural exchanges.

Additionally, the Director of the Institute thanked Sheikh Mubarak and Action Group Holdings for their continued support and sponsorship of the French Institute’s activities, stressing the importance and depth of Kuwaiti-French relations.

For his part, Sheikh Mubarak further emphasized “the importance of cultural events, which directly contribute to consolidating mutual benefits between peoples and fostering understanding between civilizations,” pointing out that Kuwait and France have a historical relationship that spans more than six decades, since diplomatic relations began in 1961, as well as France’s role in the liberation of Kuwait in 1991.

In addition, Sheikh Mubarak stated, “There is a desire in the State of Kuwait, at both the governmental and private sector levels, to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields. As part of these efforts, we agreed to renew Action Group Holdings’ golden sponsorship of the French Institute of Kuwait for the cultural events to be held in Kuwait during the 2025 season.”

It is worth noting that in 2017, Sheikh Mubarak was awarded the highest French civilian honor, the Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur (Knight of the Legion of Honour), by the French government for his role in strengthening Kuwaiti-French relations.
