In a dazzling celebration of elegance, strength, and empowerment, Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand was crowned Miss World 2025 at the grand finale of the 72nd edition of the prestigious pageant, held in Hyderabad, Telangana. The reigning Miss World, Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic, passed on the crown to her successor in a glittering ceremony that captivated audiences around the world.
Dressed in a symbolic gown crafted from shimmering white fabric and adorned with opalescent floral motifs, Opal captivated both judges and audiences. She described the gown as a tribute to the mission of “Opal For HER”, embodying beauty, resilience, and transformation, reports the news agencies.
“The delicate opal-like florals and Swarovski crystals reflect the inner light that guides women through darkness,” Opal shared on Instagram. “The soft flare represents the ripple effect of compassion—how one heart can awaken many. Just like the opal, I shine in my own light.”
The ensemble was more than just a fashion statement—it was a powerful symbol of hope, strength, and the enduring spirit of women who rise above adversity.
While Thailand celebrated its victory, the night brought disappointment for India as its representative, Nandini Gupta, failed to secure a place among the Top 8 finalists.
Although Nandini had advanced to the Top 40 after a strong showing in the preliminary rounds—and was among the 18 contestants who fast-tracked into this elite group—she did not make it past the final cut.
The announcement was made through Miss World’s official Instagram account.
This year’s pageant marked a historic moment as India hosted the Miss World competition for the second consecutive time. Following the grand success of the 71st edition in Mumbai, which saw Krystyna Pyszkova take the crown, Hyderabad continued the legacy with another spectacular event.
As Opal Suchata begins her reign, she carries forward a powerful message of hope, light, and transformation—one that resonates far beyond the stage.
