Kuwait condemns repeated Iranian attacks

. . . reserves right to self-defense against any aggression under UN Charter

Kuwait has strongly condemned the repeated Iranian attacks on its territory, including the latest attack at dawn, describing them as a violation of its sovereignty and a direct threat to its security, stability and the safety of citizens and residents.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks constitute a serious breach of international law, the UN Charter and Security Council Resolution 2817.

The ministry warned that the continued attacks reflect a hostile approach and represent a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability while undermining diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and reducing tensions.

Kuwait stressed that it reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, security, territory and vital facilities against any aggression or threat. The ministry said Kuwait’s position is based on its inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter and international law.
