- Sheikh Athbi Al-Athbi praises farmers and highlights the role of local production in food security
Farwaniya Governor and Acting Governor of the Capital Governorate Sheikh Athbi Nasser Al-Athbi Al-Sabah who took part in the opening of the Fourth Date and Fig Festival for Abdali farmers, has reaffirmed his support for farmers and local agricultural produce.
The festival which was held at the Livestock Transport and Trading Company Hall in Al-Rai, showcased a range of dates, figs and other locally produced agricultural goods.
During his visit, the governor toured the displays and praised the farmers’ efforts, as well as the organization of the festival. He was received by Abdali farmers’ supervisor Faisal Al-Zoubi and a number of participating farmers.
The governor’s participation underscores the importance of encouraging local agricultural produce, particularly the role played by farmers in supporting food security and showcasing the quality and diversity of Kuwaiti produce.
