Kuwait renews Defense Ministry Undersecretary’s tenure for four years
Kuwait has renewed the appointment of Dr. Abdullah Al-Mishal Al-Sabah as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense for another four years, beginning December 26, 2026.
Decree No. 125 of 2026, published in the official gazette Kuwait Alyawm, confirms the renewal and authorizes the Minister of Defense to implement the decision.
The decree was issued following a proposal by the Minister of Defense and approval by the Cabinet, in accordance with the Constitution, relevant civil service regulations and Decree No. 246 of 2022 governing the appointment of the ministry’s undersecretary.
The renewal recognizes Al-Mishal’s experience and contributions to the Ministry of Defense, particularly in institutional and administrative development.
During his tenure, he has worked to advance the ministry’s development plans, strengthen regional and international partnerships, and expand security and military cooperation.
His work has also included advancing the ministry’s digital transformation, strengthening cybersecurity and investing in the training and development of national personnel.
