Int’l Business Councils strengthen cross-border ties at Annual Summer Dinner

Kuwait’s international business community came together at the Waldorf Astoria Kuwait for the 2026 Annual Inter-Council Summer Dinner, bringing together business leaders, diplomats, government representatives and professionals from diverse international communities.
The gathering highlighted the role of business councils in fostering dialogue, cross-cultural understanding and cooperation across sectors and nationalities. The event also offered participants an opportunity to expand their professional networks, exchange views and explore potential areas for future business and institutional collaboration.

The dinner brought together members and guests from eight participating organizations: ABCK–AmCham Kuwait, the British Business Forum, Canadians in Kuwait, Casa Italia Kuwait, the French Business Council Kuwait, the Indian Business and Professional Council, the Lebanese Business Council in Kuwait, and the Portuguese Business Council – Kuwait.
Diplomatic representatives, government officials and distinguished guests were also welcomed during the opening remarks, underscoring the importance of cooperation between Kuwait’s international business community, government institutions and diplomatic missions.

Following registration, guests attended a dinner and networking session designed to encourage informal discussions and meaningful connections. The diverse turnout reflected Kuwait’s role as a hub for international business communities and highlighted the importance of stronger private-sector and institutional relationships.
The event also recognized key supporters, with Waldorf Astoria Kuwait named Hotel Partner, BDO as Silver Sponsor and Arkan Legal Consultants as Gold Sponsor. Representatives received commemorative plaques before joining the heads and representatives of the participating councils for a group photograph.

The evening concluded with a raffle featuring prizes contributed by Alshaya, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Easa Hussain Al Yousifi & Sons Co., Holiday Inn Salmiya, Michele’s Beauty Salon, Park Inn by Radisson Hotel & Apartments Kuwait, The Sultan Center, Waldorf Astoria Kuwait and Virginia Dental.
Prizes included dining vouchers, retail gifts, hotel stays, beauty services and dental services.
In their closing remarks, organizers expressed appreciation to the participating councils, diplomatic and government representatives, sponsors, partners and guests for supporting the event.
