56 residence, labor law violators arrested across industrial areas during inspection drive

  • A joint operation by the General Department of Criminal Investigation and the Public Authority for Manpower targeted labour law violations across four industrial areas.

Kuwait authorities have arrested 56 labour law violators during a joint inspection campaign conducted across four industrial areas as part of intensified efforts to enforce labour market regulations.

The operation, led by the General Department of Criminal Investigation’s Juvenile Protection Department in cooperation with the Public Authority for Manpower, covered the Jahra Industrial, Shuwaikh Industrial, Fahaheel Industrial and Farwaniya areas.

The campaign resulted in the arrest of 10 juveniles, three violators of Article 22 (family visa provisions), 17 violators of Article 18, 24 violators of Article 20, in addition to one absconding domestic worker and one violator of visit visa.

Authorities said all necessary legal and administrative procedures have been initiated against the violators in accordance with Kuwait’s labour and residency regulations.
