Traffic Department announces new working hours across Kuwait
The General Directorate of Traffic has announced the official working hours for its departments across all governorates, to streamline visitor services and facilitate the completion of traffic-related transactions.
The schedule covers vehicle inspection, driving tests, driver’s licenses, vehicle registration and traffic violations, with separate morning and evening shifts depending on the department.
According to the directorate:
Technical Inspection and Driving Test Departments
- Morning: 7:30 am – 1:30 pm
- Evening: 1:30 pm – 6:00 pm
Driver’s Licence, Vehicle Registration and Traffic Violations Departments
- Morning: 7:30 am – 1:30 pm
- Evening: 5:00 pm – 9:30 pm
The directorate said the new working hours apply to all governorates and urged visitors to arrive well before closing time to ensure their transactions can be completed.
It also reminded the public that evening operating hours differ between technical inspection and driving test sections and other traffic service departments.
