Social Affairs Ministry expands business incubators for productive families

The Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Sector Affairs at the Ministry of Social Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, has announced that the Ministry is moving forward with the expansion of opening business incubators for productive families, such as “Boutique 33” (Al-Salam Business and Enterprise Development Incubator).

These incubators serve as a platform for showcasing the work and products of productive families, providing them with opportunities to enter the private sector, reports Al-Jarida daily.

Dr. Al-Ajmi emphasized that these incubators are vital for small projects and serve as a gateway to the private sector. As part of the government’s work program, several business incubators will be opened in new residential areas, each offering a variety of boutiques and shops for rent to display the products of needy families and aid beneficiaries.

The Ministry is committed to supporting aid recipients and transforming them into productive families that contribute to their own well-being and the development of the country.

In addition to the expansion of business incubators, the Ministry is partnering with major commercial complexes in Kuwait to allocate temporary spaces for the display of family products.

This initiative aims to provide greater visibility and market access for productive families, diversifying their sources of income and supporting their livelihoods.

Regarding the Productive Families Market held at The Gate Mall, Dr. Al-Ajmi stated that about 125 Kuwaiti families are participating in the exhibition, which will continue for 4 days.

The Ministry is dedicated to supporting productive Kuwaiti families, especially social assistance recipients, by providing various forms of assistance and support.

Meanwhile, Kuwait, represented by Dr. Maryam Al-Azmi, participated in the Arab Preparatory Meeting for the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

The meeting focused on accelerating the achievement of gender equality and empowering women and girls by addressing poverty, strengthening institutions, and ensuring adequate financing that considers women’s needs. Discussions centered on enhancing the status, protection, and empowerment of women in Arab societies, as well as supporting their participation in decision-making and representation in international forums.
