Kuwait deputy PM leads initiative on illegal residents’ coordination

Sheikh Fahd Al-Youssef Al-Sabah emphasized the importance of promptly processing visitors' transactions once they have provided the required documents and necessary information

Sheikh Fahd Al-Youssef Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and acting Minister of Interior, spearheads efforts to bolster coordination on illegal residents issue between Central Agency for Illegal Residents (CAIR) and various state agencies.

During a meeting at Naif Palace, Sheikh Fahd Al-Youssef and CAIR Chairman Saleh Al-Fadala engaged in discussions.

According to a statement from CAIR, Al-Fadala provided a comprehensive presentation, backed by evidence and statistics, detailing the agency’s efforts to tackle the issue of illegal residents.

The statement further mentioned that Sheikh Fahd Al-Youssef directed the organization of the visitor entry process to the General Department of Nationality and Travel Documents, allowing entry only to those with transactions to complete.

During an inspection tour of the department, Sheikh Fahd Al-Youssef emphasized the importance of promptly processing visitors’ transactions once they have provided the required documents and necessary information. He also received a briefing on the stages involved in issuing travel documents for citizens.

Sheikh Fahd Al-Youssef also viewed a visual presentation showcasing the accomplishments of the General Department of Nationality and Travel Documents in 2024, along with the ongoing plans and future projects slated for implementation in the upcoming phase.
