Following a meeting of foreign ministers from the Quad group of nations on Tuesday, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the group’s countries agreed to launch an initiative on energy security in the Indo-Pacific region, as well as a framework for critical minerals.
In New Delhi, he stated, “The Quadrilateral Framework on Critical Minerals… will be a guide for each of us to utilize economic policy tools and coordinate investments to strengthen critical mineral supply chains, including in the areas of mining, processing, and recycling of critical minerals.”
