Prime Minister… Be optimistic about the next stage

His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Al-Sabah praised the constructive ideas and proposals from experts, which are in the interest of the nation, and were presented during his meetings yesterday with heads and members of public welfare associations.

Vice President of the Lawyers Association, Adnan Abel, confirmed in a statement to Al-Rai that “the Prime Minister stressed the need for optimism in the next stage. He also pointed out that there are many matters that must be addressed and asked for the association’s opinion on the accumulation of appeals in the courts and the details of the smart court’s initiative.”

He added, “His Highness expressed keen interest in the necessity of facilitating litigation procedures through international companies within a specific period.”

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait National Integrity Society, lawyer Muhammad Dhaar Al-Otaibi, said in a statement to Al-Rai, “We sensed that the Prime Minister extended a hand of cooperation, and was keen on the importance of promoting integrity and fighting corruption,” noting that the meeting touched on many topics, one among them being the fight against corruption and the need for public sector governance.

He pointed out that issues related to public money and corruption were discussed, as well as the measures taken by the concerned authorities, whether the prosecution or the judiciary’s investigation bodies, adding that “this approach that the state is following is based on the directives of the political leadership that no one is above the law, and it’s implementation is everyone’s duty.”
