Customs Trace Unit strengthens border security with advanced detection capabilities
The General Administration of Customs Kuwait highlighted the critical role of its Customs Trace Unit as a key support arm in inspection operations across the country’s borders.
In an explanatory video, the administration said the unit plays an active role in detecting narcotics, explosives and illicit cash, while operating across all land, sea and air entry points.
Officials noted that the Customs Trace Unit is classified among advanced centers that meet international standards in the training and deployment of police dogs, with a focus on maintaining the highest professional and technical benchmarks, reports Al-Anba daily.
The administration added that the dogs are imported only after undergoing comprehensive health and behavioral assessments.
They are then enrolled in specialized training programs and field simulations designed to mirror evolving smuggling techniques, ensuring a high level of operational readiness and accuracy in detection tasks.
