Some visitors exempted from flying national carriers

The Residency Affairs Sector of the Ministry of Interior has issued instructions not to demand a ticket from expatriates belonging to nationalities prohibited from entering the country for travel on the national carriers such as Kuwait Airways and Al-Jazeera Airways. Instead, they must first obtain security approval from the relevant authorities from the Interior Ministry.

Additionally, the sector has informed the relevant departments handling visit visa applications that applicants are not required to present a round-trip ticket on the national carrier, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting well-informed sources.

Conversely, the sources indicated a growing inclination within the leadership of the Residency Affairs Sector to exempt citizens of countries from buying tickets of national carriers if they their countries are not directly connected to Al-Jazeera and Kuwait Airways travel routes.
