1,262 bedoun students registered with Kuwait University

In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Saturday, Kuwait University revealed that the number of bedoun students across its various colleges during the first semester of the academic year (2023-2024) has reached 1,262, comprising both male and female students.

Dr. Fayez Al-Dhafiri, Acting Secretary-General and spokesman for Kuwait University, disclosed that the university has accepted 211 new students from this category during the first semester of the current academic year. Additionally, he noted that the number of graduates from this category in the previous academic year (2022-2023) amounted to 131.

Al-Dhafiri commended the ongoing collaboration between Kuwait University and the Central Agency to address the situation of illegal residents, aiming to alleviate any challenges faced by this category of students residing.
