United States Central Command confirmed that all six crew members aboard a U.S. refueling aircraft that crashed over western Iraq have died.
The command revised an earlier toll issued Friday, which had reported four fatalities while search efforts were still underway for the remaining two crew members, dw.com reports.
According to CENTCOM, the Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker was lost on March 12 while flying in friendly airspace during Operation Epic Fury.
Officials said the cause of the crash remains under investigation, adding that there is no indication the aircraft was brought down by hostile fire or friendly fire.
