South Korea Congratulates Kuwait on National and Liberation Days

On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Korea, I extend my warm congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, to His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and to the Government and people of the State of Kuwait on the occasion of Kuwait’s National Day and Liberation Day.

Korea and Kuwait share a long-standing, deeply rooted friendship built on trust, mutual respect, and shared values. During the darkest time following Iraq’s invasion, Korea stood firmly with the international community in support of Kuwait’s sovereignty and independence. Korea provided financial support, humanitarian aid, and air transport assistance, helping deliver relief and aid to those affected. In the years that followed, Korea continued to support Kuwait’s reconstruction and development, reflecting solidarity in both hardship and progress.

Our peoples share the experience of overcoming external aggression and rebuilding stronger, forming the foundation of an excellent partnership based on trust, resilience, and cooperation.Today, our relations continue to flourish across energy, infrastructure, healthcare, investment, and innovation. I am confident that the bonds between Korea and Kuwait will continue to deepen, bringing lasting benefits to both nations.
