GKPA Kuwait hosts free medical camp; over 300 expatriates receive care

The Kuwait Chapter of the Global Kerala Pravasi Association (GKPA) recently organized a free medical camp at a clinic in Salmiya, benefiting more than 300 Indians.
The camp offered comprehensive health check-ups, consultations across multiple medical specialties, and basic diagnostic tests and also free eye screenings, ensuring accessible and quality healthcare for the expatriate community.

The event began with a welcome address by GKPA General Secretary Binu Yohannan and was presided over by President Justin P. Jose. The camp was formally inaugurated by Gershom Award-winning social worker and music director Manoj Mavelikkara, while founding member Mubarack Kambrath delivered the organizational message. Felicitations were extended by Basheer Batha; Vanaja Rajan, GKPA Women’s Wing representative.
In addition to medical services, the camp facilitated NORKA–Pravasi Welfare and GKPA membership registrations. Volunteers from various sectors—including Mujeeb K.T., Amanullah, Sabitha, Bindu Nair, Abdulla Kadavath, Rafeeq Olavara, Shareefa Hawally, Saleem Koduvalli, Arshitha, Lalitha, Saleem Kochi, Sreelatha, Jiby Thamarassery, Shajahan Malappuram, Pradeep Salmiya, Sajina Kollam, Menish Vas, Raheem Arikkandi, and Rathish Rajan—helped coordinate and manage the event.
Tokens of appreciation were presented to Manoj Mavelikkara, Husain A.K. Volunteer appreciation plaques were awarded to Preetha Kannur, Rasiya Muhammad, Vanaja Rajan, Abdul Jaleel Kottayam, Abdulla Kadavath, Mini Celin, Girish Govindan, Sajini Biju, Girija Omanakkuttan, and Jinesh Areekkara for their outstanding service.
Leaders from the GKPA Kerala State Committee and representatives from various chapters conveyed their felicitations online. The association reaffirmed its commitment to continue delivering meaningful initiatives and essential services to support the welfare of expatriates in Kuwait and Kerala.
