The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Kuwait announced the signing of a landmark agreement with The Kuwait Society for Relief (KSR), Sheikh Abdallah Al Nouri Charity Society, and Al Oun Charity to support emergency access to clean drinking water in Gaza.
The initiative will deploy solar-powered mobile desalination units, providing safe drinking water to approximately 180,000 people, including displaced populations and communities affected by the ongoing crisis.
The project will be implemented by UNDP’s Program of Assistance to the Palestinian People (UNDP/PAPP).
The signing ceremony is scheduled for Monday, February 2, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the UN House in Kuwait, where media representatives are invited to attend.
