Rainfall expected in Kuwait on Wednesday and Thursday, says Met Department

The acting director of the Meteorological Department, Darrar Al-Ali, has forecast rainfall for Kuwait on Wednesday and Thursday.
Al-Ali told KUNA that since yesterday evening, the country has experienced an increase in low and medium clouds, interspersed with cumulonimbus clouds, resulting in scattered rain that was occasionally thundery.
Rainfall amounts varied across the country, with 35 mm recorded in Al-Abdali, 14 mm in Al-Sabriya, and 7 mm at Kuwait International Airport.

He explained that the rain was caused by an extension of a surface low-pressure system interacting with a deep upper-level low, which has gradually receded, allowing a high-pressure system accompanied by a cold air mass to advance.
The acting director added that this incoming air mass will lead to a noticeable drop in temperatures, accompanied by active northwesterly winds, sometimes exceeding 60 kilometers per hour.
Residents are advised to prepare for cooler, breezy conditions and scattered rain over the next few days.
