Health Ministry adds 20 new vehicles to strengthen pest and rodent control efforts
Dr. Fatima Al-Draiweesh, Head of the Pest and Rodent Control Department at the Ministry of Health, urged members of the public to make use of the ministry’s citizen service hotline (151), selecting option (6), to submit reports and inquiries.

The Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday the addition of 20 specially equipped vehicles to its fleet dedicated to rodent and insect control, as part of efforts to enhance environmental sanitation and improve the efficiency of field operations across various regions.
In a press statement, the ministry said the expansion aims to strengthen operational readiness, raise the quality of services provided to the community, and support national plans designed to ensure a safe and healthy environment. The initiative also seeks to reduce the spread of diseases associated with pests and insects, reports Al-Rai daily.
The ministry emphasized that the new vehicles will support specialized field teams and expand geographical coverage, enabling faster response times and the efficient, continuous implementation of control and preventive measures.

She also highlighted the availability of reporting through the “Salem” mobile application, noting that both channels help accelerate response times and strengthen community participation in safeguarding public health.
