Kuwait Airways clears IATA IOSA Audit, records improved safety performance

Kuwait Airways announced on Sunday that it has passed the International Air Transport Association’s Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), achieving results that surpass those of previous years, reaffirming its commitment to the highest international standards of safety and quality in air transport.
In a press statement, Acting Chief Executive Officer Abdulwahab Al-Shatti said the successful completion of the audit reflects the national carrier’s strong dedication to operational safety and its continuous efforts to provide safe and reliable services to passengers.
He noted that the achievement also strengthens Kuwait Airways’ standing at both regional and international levels, reports Al-Rai daily.
Al-Shatti explained the IOSA program is among the most globally recognized systems for evaluating airline operational management and control.
He said the audit focused on priority areas identified through risk assessment and included a comprehensive review of organizational and administrative structures, operational procedures, the operations control center, engineering and aircraft maintenance, cabin and ground services, cargo operations, and security management.
He added that the audit also assessed the effectiveness of Kuwait Airways’ safety systems and core safety programs.
The results demonstrated advanced levels of implementation of safety management systems, including risk management, the promotion of a strong safety culture, and comprehensive quality management practices.
