Appeals Court puts Al-Fikr behind bars for three years
The Court of Appeals, presided over by Judge Salah Al-Houti, overturned the Criminal Court’s ruling that had acquitted Anwar Al-Fikr in a case related to challenging the rights and powers of His Highness the Amir during an election rally, and instead upheld the verdict of three-year prison term.
It is worth noting that Al-Fikr is currently serving time in connection with a similar case for which he received a final three-year sentence, reports Al-Anba daily.
